What it involves to begin working together…

I offer one on one yoga instruction as a way to help you live more confidently and freely in your body. In our time together we will uncover and ultimately transform physical, mental and emotional patterns that shows up as pain, lack of energy, hyperactivity and in other disruptive ways. Together we will go through a series of postures and sequences that will help you to become mentally clear and physically uninhibited. The postures and sequences that we work on together will help you to create space and freedom of movement in the major joints of your body and the spine, thereby quickly shifting your embodied experience out of discomfort and towards one of confidence.

The yoga practice that we work with will be simple and accessible. Through simplicity we will witness the ways in which outdated patterns of posture and movement are able to be transformed and sources of pain be eliminated. I will provide you with sequences that you can do on your own and can range between five minutes and one hour, depending on your availability and motivation. I will also provide you techniques to get more out of going to group yoga classes so that you are maximizing the time you spend there.

In many instances the confidence and freedom my students gain has inspired them to reclaim their connection to activities that they had long since given up on. My students now feel ready to enjoy dancing, hiking, gymnastics and soccer and have regained the ability to feel joy in spontaneous activities like playing with their children or grandchildren, making love, running, jumping and other expressions of happiness.

Ask yourself, how long until I commit to a better relationship with my body?

“I couldn’t have built my confidence without your guidance, I’m so grateful for a teacher like you.”
